Join us from September 13-15 at the state-of-the-art Lone Star Flight Museum in Houston, Texas for an unforgettable experience. Join us for the opportunity to learn detailing practices on rare WWII aircraft and other aircraft, including paint correction, bright work, and ceramic coating.  

DAY 1 – Friday, September 13

RUPES USA
Ideal for users who want to get peak performance from the RUPES Polishing Systems. This class features a blend of classroom theory and hands on polishing designed to maximize the students learning.  

  • Brief RUPES Introduction & History 
  • Basic Overview of Tool movements –Rotary, new XC-2 Compound, Forced Rotation, Focus on Random Orbital (RO) 
  • RO System Design – including pad/polisher technology for low vibration. 
  • RO System Overview – Understanding pads and compounds and how they differ  
  • Foundational Techniques – RO priming, section size, basic technique, test spot,
    cleaning and maintenance 
  • Live Instruction and Coaching – Students will paint correct WWII aircraft 

DAY 2 & 3 – Saturday, September 14 – Sunday, September 15 

AVIATION DETAILING ASSOCATION 

Learn the ins and outs of Aviation Detailing – what to do and not do with emphasis on detailing safety concerning aviation specific systems + get your Aviation Detailing Association (ADA) Certification 

SAFETY – Detailed concepts and technical explanations for aviation systems and best practices
