Learn the secrets to improve efficiency with sanding, spot repair, and buffing processes in the collision repair and automotive refinish environment. This 1-day training event will reduce the time and steps required while improving results for anyone who refinishes cars professionally. Whether you work in a small independent body shop, a large chain, or manage the floor in a collision repair facility, this class will provide you with the skills to shave hours off of each job, reduce rework, improve results, and ultimately reduce costs in your facility.

THIS CLASS IS RECOMMENDED FOR PROFESSIONALS. Students must have a working knowledge of basic sanding and polishing dynamics and be familiar with fresh paint applications for automotive refinish or similar applications. There will be limited beginner-level instruction included.

Each class at the RUPES BigFoot Academy is custom-tailored to the student’s goals. We open the class with a discussion of current skills, pain points, and goals then adjust based on the areas of need to ensure students’ success. Below is the basic class outline, but these subjects can be changed, rearranged, expanded, or limited based on class input and feedback. All topics are a combination of both classroom theory and hands-on time. Ultimately, our goal is to ensure that each student leaves the class having gained valuable technical skills that they can put to work immediately.

• Dry sanding/panel prep with dust extraction systems
• Denib, spot repair, and edgework procedures for maximum efficiency
• Texture leveling and texture matching procedures with DA tools
• Optimizing rotary polishing techniques for cut and finish
• Random orbital options for sand mark removal and superior finishing
